International Folklore Festival

The international Folklore Festival was launched in 2010 within “Gazi Baba Summer of Culture.”

Folk ensembles and societies from all over the world took part in the festival and represented their folklore and cultural traditions.

“Jonce Hristovski” is the project holder and the host of the ensemble of folk songs and dances.

The Great Mother

As of 2011 the “Great Mother Event” has been taking place every first Sunday of May (Mother’s Day).

Various culture, art and creativity projects are carried out within this event.

Aprilijada

Every year the municipality of Gazi Baba celebrates April Fool’s Day. Kindergarten and elementary school children take part in the masquerade. Furthermore, a cultural and entertainment program is organized for the youngest residents.

Art Event Vinice

Students from all elementary schools of Gazi Baba, as well as guests from all bordering and twin municipalities create works of art where they express their creativity every end of May in the church of St. Elijah, settlement of Vinice.
Vinice also serves as a cultural and art center for the community.

Pivtijada

Traditional galantine dishes are made by the skilled hands of our Macedonian housewives at the religious holiday Vodici.
Pivtijada is mainly a humanitarian event. The best galantine dishes are rewarded and sold, so all the raised funds would go to humanitarian causes.

Presentation of traditional garments, songs and instruments

The surpassing beauty of the Macedonian traditional garments, the original sound of musical instruments and the songs of the Macedonian vocal artists, united by the beautiful nature of Skopska Crna Gora, will draw you near the endless beauties of Macedonia.

Tikvijada

Every November the municipality of Gazi Baba holds an event for all residents known as Tikvijada.
Join us, have fun and taste the delicious pumpkin specialties from the Macedonian region.

A RACE FOR PEACE, COEXISTENCE AND TOLERANCE

Several elementary students from the municipalities of Gazi Baba and Aracinovo took part in the race for peace, coexistence and tolerance, which was held at Hipodrom Sports and Recreation Center.
In addition, students’ races and a VIP race were held for the mayors of the municipalities, NGO representatives, sponsors, principals of elementary schools and present citizens.
There were entertainment activities apart from sports activities for the elementary students from both municipalities.
